can't download font I paid for

I just bought a font and now I can't download it.

I actually accidentally bought the italic version of the font, which I didn't want. That download worked fine.

I realized my error and paid for the standard font version, but now it won't let me download it and says I must wait 24 hours!

I called the help line and it was a terrible mess of automated options and I couldn't reach anyone. I tried the online chat help and no-one would contact with me.

I'm on a deadline and I need this font now. Why is there such a long delay to get what I paid for? This is so unprofessional. I wish I could just cancel my purchases now.
