Copying fonts from PC to Mac

I own the font Myriad Pro Light on my PC. I have bought a Mac (OS Mountain Lion) and want to copy the font onto the Mac for a book I am designing. Is this legal? And, if so, how do I do it? Many thanks

If you purchased the font then I believe there is a 5 user/computer license. If you got the font with a software package, then I believe it can only be used with the computer you are running the software with. To be sure you software and/or type should have come with a its own license.

Not to be overly pedantic about this, but you cannot buy any fonts in Adobe's type library (or for that matter almost any other font foundry's type library). What you do purchase are licenses for use of a particular font.

With that in mind, Michael Kazlow's advise is correct. Myriad Pro Light is not bundled with any Adobe software. You either licensed that font by itself or as part of a family of fonts or perhaps as part of the overall Adobe Font Folio product which provides access to the entire Adobe type library. And again, read the license that is particular to the font you've licensed.
