Cyrillic fonts?

Creative Cloud lists a number of fonts as having Cyrillic characters, as well as fonts that are presumably Cyrillic themselves. The former have no apparent Cyrillic version. The latter appear as Sans Serif  Roman fonts on their pages and in programs. How does we access actual Cyrillic characters?

There are a number of ways, but selecting a Russian keyboard with an on line guide to the keys seems a good one.

In all cases you use the correct Cyrillic characters from Unicode. Some very old fonts remapped the English letter to Cyrillic, but this is now very obsolete. If you aren't sure how to enter Cyrillic Unicode, and don't have the document in Word or whatever to copy/paste, then let us know whether you're on Mac or Windows.

I am on a MAC and have no idea how to use the Unicode. It used be a simple matter of applying a font. Sigh.
