Font defaults to Myriad Pro in Illustrator

I have font that my company uses for music notation "TTKStava" which renders awesome vector notation for graphic use.

Up until the CC update I was able to use it without issue. Now when I try to use it (I have added it and it shows up in the font list) everything seems normal until I try to actually type and the program defaults back to Myriad Pro. I've tried it from every angle and haven't been able to use it. It's pretty crucial that I have this working moving forward so any help/suggestions you could give would be awesome!
