Font family is split in two. Why?

I have a full, legal version of the Helvetica Neue LT Pro family installed on my Mac.

In all software, except the Adobe suite, the font appears correctly, as one family. In all my Adobe apps, it is split into two fonts families (with the same name). What is up with that and how do I fix it?

The name is probably not the mean to separate fonts. Are the supported character sets the same?

Yes, the fonts were bought as one family, all together, from Linotype. As you can see, in non-Adobe apps, they appear correctly as one family.

I'm not sure what you mean by "The name is probably not the mean to separate fonts."

I was unprecise: Grouping fonts together is probably not done by name, but by a different ID.  Even when the fonts are from the same foundry, the supported character sets (languages) may be different.
