Font Issues

I am trying to create a logo. Any font that I select is pixelated on the screen and in print. I was wondering if maybe I have selected something in my software that is causing this to happen. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Actually, the real question comes down to how the logo is being created and what format it is being exported to.

For example, if the logo is being created in Photoshop, most likely your “result” is a raster image file in .jpg, .tif, .png, or even .psd format. Output in .pdf format may retain text as text realized with fonts, but that depends on what other actions are taken in Photoshop. Photoshop is not the tool of choice for creating logos.

If you are creating a logo in Illustrator or even InDesign, unless you rasterize the text in the logo, you should not have any such pixilation.

Much depends on your workflow. If you can post an example, maybe we can better analyze your exact issue.
