Font licence for a global company

Hi

I work for a company with offices all over the world, the 3 biggest are in the UK, USA and Australia.

We have print licences for our main font for use in every region and I was wondering about licences for our web content.

Our main site was built in Australia and all regions link from that, but now we want to build some micro sites for small events in other countries but I am unsure of the licence laws of the font. Does anyone know if we need a new licence for the UK and US sites or can we use the same licence we use for our main site from AU?

    Quite frankly, this isn't a question that can really be answered here.

    Why?

    Font licenses vary not only from vendor to vendor and font to font, but also from customer to customer. Large enterprises often negotiate special licenses for their “corporate identity fonts” assuming that they don't commission special fonts for their own use (for example, Adobe has its own special fonts, Adobe Clean and Adobe Clean Serif for unlimited use on corporate materials, both web and print; these fonts are not made available to the public).

    That being the case, you need to consult with whoever negotiated the licenses for the fonts you are using to ascertain exactly what privileges your licenses provide and if they don't have support for web use, endeavor to negotiate that directly with the vendor that licensed the fonts to you.
