Fonts not displaying correctly in Indesign and Photoshop

Hi everyone,

I have been having issues with a couple of fonts for a while and have tried different ways to fix it (printing from a PDF, validating fonts, exporting save for web, etc). The main problem is with Avenir. It never looks fully "crisp" or "clear" (hope that makes sense).

I use it for a lot of design stuff, both print and digital, and I feel it never displays correctly. 

I have attached a screenshot of how it looks in photoshop.

It might be my eyes playing tricks on me, but I'm sure Avenir looks clearer on Word or on other computers (ie, my home laptop).

Any advice would be much appreciated.
