Force embedded fonts in epub?

Is it possible to force fonts in an epub?

I'm exporting from Indesign using the embedded fonts option, but in certain readers (am previewing with Amazon's kindle previewer), the font is selected within the reader and over-rides embedded fonts.

Specifically, I want to be able to "force" some glyph-based fonts that I'm using for chapter headings and scene breaks.

Is this possible?
