GDPR and Consent Tool for Typekit (web use)?

Hi there

One of our customers uses webfonts from the Typekit on his website (Germany). This raises the question of whether the use of Typekit is GDPR-compliant or whether consent must be obtained via a Constent Tool before the fonts are loaded. Is it possible to declare the used cookies as technically necessary cookies? It would be great if I could get information on this.
