Hi all

I am currently doing a magazine cover design for the guardian magazine. Its not for real but for a design project and was wondering if anyone could tell me the typeface used for the guardian weekend magazine.

Its close to Georgia and cambria but can't find the exact typeface. Im not a experiance typegrapher, more illustrator!

Anyone know?

Helen

I'm guessing it's one of the Guardian fonts available from Commercial Type:

    http://commercialtype.com/typefaces/guardian

But not having seen a sample, it's hard to say.

Assuming that you're talking about the nameplate used on both the

magazine and the newspaper, it's FontFont's Meta Serif Black.

I was surprised, because most newspaper nameplates are custom designed

    graphics.
