Help identifying typeface?

Can anyone help identify this typeface? I've run a scan through WhatFontIs and the closest seem to be American Typewriter and Monotype Ionic. But neither of those is an actual match. American Typewriter lacks any brackets, which are clearly present and Monotype Ionic is clearly thinner and has more stroke contrast. Probably a long shot, but thanks if anyone has an idea!

It is very close to Century Expanded or Century, albeit not identical to the digital version. Besides the extra weight added by the letterpress printing, there are often subtle differences in different sizes of metal type that are missing in the one-size-scales-to-all digital versions. (Also, the acute accent is quite different, but that's not unusual.)

Also very close to Clarendon in one or another of its many renditions.
