I'm trying to print a pdf that I cannot manipulate. It has some color on the document, but the majority of the pages are black text. When I print it, there is a dark halo around the letters in the text. I've tried printing it as a pdf and taking into photoshop and printing from there, but they look the same. I've turned over black overprinting, no help. But, when I open it in photoshop and convert it to grayscale, the halo is gone. Help!

my clients brand requires we purchase a font, so we can design their application. We dont own the font. Can we charge the customer for the purchase given they need us to use it for their brand design?

Adobe InDesign has a Font Folder inside the Application where you can load fonts for InDesign only. Why can’t they come up with an Adobe Font Folder that will not only load fonts for InDesign, but also any Adobe App like Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat & Dreamweaver? Typekit does this, Plus shares the Fonts with MS Word but I cannot use my Existing Font Library.

So,Really weird bug I've noticed. Our client has provided us with Frutiger LT Std. type family and Photoshop. We are using the fonts for their designs, but instances of the same font look different. Let me explain...If I apply Frutiger LT Std. 65 Bold to a headline at 20px, it looks fine. If I make a new layer and apply the same font treatment, it renders like a semi-bold (note: there is no semi-bold in our Frutiger font family); the difference is clearly visible. If I create a character style from the correctly displaying headline instance, and apply it to a new line of type (or an existing line of type), it displays incorrectly as a semi-bold font. If I duplicate a correctly displaying headline instance, the duplicate will do the same thing. However, if I drag/copy the correctly displaying headline instance, it displays correctly and looks fine. It's a small bug, but it's causing big inconsistencies in our design and taking a lot of time to fix.I've tried deleting the fonts and re-in

I've had a Creative Cloud subscription since April 2013, but Adobe Typekit now will not let me sign in. What can be the problem? I've tried several times to log in and even changed my password. Nothing works

I am contemplating whether to buy a subscription to Typekit. Can anyone answer if:1.) It is compatible with Adobe CS6 products? (Specifically, inDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat.)2.) Can I send the fonts to a professional printer for output to press as part of my .indd or .ai files or do I need to save to PDF? Reason I ask is, don't printers generally want the native files and fonts in order to put into their workflow software, or can they use a PDF file that I generate to their specifications? We are a news website and typography is very important to our business. We have been endlessly trying to integrate Typekit fonts into our wordpress site and nothing's worked out. Hi, I've designed a website using edge web font "Lora" in czech language. It looks good on my Mac, but when viewing on iPhone, iPad or PC (all browsers), there are not international characters like č, ř, š, ě... How can I control which fonts are active in Adobe applications? Using Font Book does not seem to control which fonts are active in CS6. I'm on a Mac, OS 10.6.8.

Hi, I'm a hobby illustrator and I currently work in Mac OS X Mountain Lion. Recently, I've decided that I'm going to switch to Linux Mint for various reasons including a more responsive and customizable system. However, I still want to use some of the fonts that came preinstalled with Mountain Lion, including the Helvetica, Helvetica CY, and Helvetica Neue font families.Now, as I understand it, the license for the fonts included with Mountain Lion cannot be transferred over if I export one of the fonts from the Font Book app and install it in Linux Mint. My questions are:1. Is this true, or does the license remain valid even if I copy the fonts to Linux Mint?2. If not, does the license remain valid if I somehow access OS X's fonts from within Linux Mint and use them without copying them over?Thanks,Emily

I have been using Trade Gothic Condensed as my default Excel font for many years. Each time I get a new computer I have been able to install the font in the new OS. I am having trouble doing that with Win 8.1. It says it is installed but does not appear in my list of Fonts, yet the Myriad font comes up fine.Does anyone have any suggestions how to install the Trade Gothic font in my new Win 8.1 computer?Many thanksGeorge

I paid $35 for Bickham script in October 2013.  My computer crashed and I had to buy a new one.  I tried to reinstall by downloading from my original order.  It did download, but to a zip file.  I can "open" the ZIP file but there is no "install" option.  Stuck.

Hello,Back when I bought CS3 Design Premium it came with a free font family download, Hypatia Sans Pro.  Since then I formatted my hard drive and got a new computer, and even though I always set up my computer using a Time Machine backup, the font is now missing.  Is there any way I can re-download it?  I still have my CS3 installation disks and paperwork if it would help.  Thank you.- Mark

Hi thereI run a small publishing house that intend to produce translations of Arabic works into English. I was looking at using Garamond Premier Pro as the in-house font, but it doesn't have the necessary characters with diacritical marks to transliterate Arabic into latin script. Does the license permit modification of some of the letters by adding a dot underneath them?Thank you

I use the Adobe CS6 Design & Premium / Middle East Version.I have a question regarding the use of the fonts bundled with Adobe applications. I design and sell greeting cards  and printable items you can download and print at home or at a print house.Before I send the file  to a client I convert the type to a shape (Photoshop) or create outlines (Illustrator/Indesign) and sometimes I send a pdf file. Am I allowed to use these fonts for these purposes??Is it ok to use these fonts that way?One more question,How can I find out if a font is bundled with Adobe or installed with my OS? is there a list of adobe fonts that are installed with CS6?Hope to hear from you soonThank you!!

Hello!To elaborate - I'm working on a CD artwork, and I'd like to upload all the designs as PDFs.  This is the first time I've done work on these documents on the computer I'm on now, and when I went to save my Illustrator file to a PDF after some new edits, I got a message that the font Myriad-Roman would not embed because of licensing restrictions.  Where there used to be some text in the template, there is now just a bunch of gibberish. I'm at a loss, because the font is not something I've placed in the document, it's a font that was part of the template I'm working with from disc makers.  I don't know how to fix the issue, or how to get around it.  Any help would be appreciated!Thanks.
