Question

Is Apertura font not usable in Photoshop CC?

Hi,

I'm graphic designer and CC account holder, but I'm new to using Typekit so need to get my head around a problem I've run into with Apertura (https://typekit.com/fonts/apertura)

I have a client that uses this as their "digital" font and I need to create design for them in Photoshop with this font, however it just looks there's on the <> (web icon)  next to it.

Sorry in advance if this seems like a silly question - but does this really mean I can only use this font in the code of a website and not while creating the actual *designs* for this website?

If anyone could clarify for me, that'd be great.

Thanks in advance!

K

Hi Kelly,

I'm sorry that you ran into trouble with this!  If a font is listed as "web only", it means that the foundry has not made it available for sync use on Typekit

You can often purchase a desktop licence for a "web only" font from the foundry website or from one of their resellers.  The foundry information is listed at the top of the family page on Typekit; Apertura is by Betatype (http://betatype.com/).

I hope that this helps; let me know if you have any other questions! Best,
