logotype for web

Hi, I created a logotype in Illustrator and would like to use it in my website, in the highest qiality that it looks crisp and perfect.

This is what I did:

1. I created outlines in illustrator of the logo in the size that I want it to be on the website - do I need to change the color to RGB?

2. save as PDF (print quality)

3. opened it in photoshop, changed resolution to 72

4. saved image for web in RGB, in maximum quality as JPG

the letters in the logotype dont look so crisp. what am I doing wrong?
