Miguel Sousa will release Calouste some day?

Miguel Sousa made a fantastic work with Calouste. But the typeface was not released and he is now working for Adobe. Does anybody knows if the release of a Calouste family would be made under Adobe's flag?

I suppose not. Maybe just the church and royal family. And the farmer who was supposed to keep up the supply the sheepskins.

    Don,

Just remember that Gutenberg had to cast every single character in his opus. Can't say if he recycled the type for each signature.

Sure, Neil, but he could devote all his time to it. He wasn't
distracted by things like web forums.

    > wondering how long it took Gutenberg to develop his fonts

Probably less time than Adobe does. Gutenberg had no other sources of income, and until those Bibles were sold, no money. (In fact, he lost the business to his partner before the Bibles were done.)

If only he had some Photoshop sales to tide him over as he worked on the books.

I understand. Type development is a slow art. Until a future Calouste release, I will remain using Utopia. And, as it seems an Utopia Pro is also far way, maybe I must design my own typeface during this waiting. :-)

Yes, although not any time soon. Miguel has another project he's doing first.

    Cheers,
