We have just installed Adobe CC onto an existing workstation there are fonts that are installed on the PC that Illstrator are now saying are missing but when you try to install them again it just gives the message that they are already installed ???

Any clues as to what to do to fix.

Regards

Gavin

the cache fie should be here then, the previous location was for XP

    C:\Windows:\ServiceProfiles:\LocalService:\Appdata:\Local

delete that and also search for .lst file and delete those

    You are most welcome.

Let us know your results as people review these posts even years later to find help, so want to make sure as I really do not work on Windows anymore so this is coming from memory and google.

Yes please provide your OS. Clear your font cache.

Quit all apps. Remove this file C:\Windows\System32\FNTCACHE.DAT

Search and delete all Adobefnt*.lst files

Windows 7 - it not on my workstation so not sure which fonts are affected.

It seems like a handful of various fonts are not currently working which are already installed on the pc.
