my Myriad disapeared and won't reinstall

After an update to my AVID editing software my Myriad fonts no longer appeared as an option but were still in the windows font folder (true type only was not selected) I deleted them and tried to reinstall but I get an error message that says "Unable to install, font filemay be damaged"  So I bought a new one and tried to install it and the same message came up.

I tried to install on a different computer and it says the file is currently being used and cannot be replaced wait until windows is finished using the file and try again"

I am not not using any other software when I get this error.

Help I miss myriad!
