Hi Adobe Staff,

I am working for TriMet, a public transportation company in Portland, Oregon. I am designing the electronic instructional screens for the fare ticket machines and the package for the fare card, using Myriad Pro fonts in my CC software. Do I have to buy the license for using Myriad Pro for those? Please let me know. Thank you.

    Correct answer

Adobe's standard font license agreement allows work created with a font to be distributed and used for both personal and commercial purposes. You will only need to ensure that you are using the fonts to create rendered work (e.g. bitmaps and video), converting font data to outlines in vector output (e.g. EPS) or embedding the fonts in an electronic document (e.g. PDF). You cannot distribute the font files themselves as an asset for an application or service.

For any fonts included with Adobe applications, you should refer to the General Terms of Use: Licenses and terms of use | Adobe

    I hope that helps.
