I am having trouble locating a font. We've recently upgraded to CS5 and one of our designers needed a font I'd used in an earlier file. I saved the Myriad font family out for him, but 'Light' was missing from the family in fontbook, even though I am able to use it in Photoshop and all other Adobe programs. When he opens my files however, he gets a font warning saying he doens't have Myriad Pro light. My question is, why am I able to even use it if it's not in Fontbook, could it be stored some place else?

That's just a text file containing cached information about fonts.

If you're able to see the font in other Adobe apps then try this:

    1. Launch InDesign

    2. Create a new document

    3. Create a text frame

    4. Type some text

    5. Select the text and apply the font

    6. Go to the menu Type and click on Find Font...

    7. Select the font from the list Fonts in Document

    8. Click on the More Info button

An area named Info will be displayed. There you will find the Path to the font file.

You may have the font installed in /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Fonts or in /Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS5/Fonts

I did actually check that earlier today just before posting here. I did not find any fonts in there, but I did find a file called: AdobeFnt07.lst
