New mac user needs help

I just switched from using a pc and am now using a mac.  I have also upgraded to CS5.  In the past (on the pc) I was able to highlight my text, place my cursor in the font selection box and use the arrow keys to scroll through my fonts.  This would dynamically change the highlighted text as each new font was selected.

When I tried this trick on my new mac and CS5 nothing happens.  Any suggestions?

I'll try that too. However this is a selection option that was available across numerous adobe products; indesign, photoshop, illustrator and since this is a forum on typography I figured someone in here would know how it worked on a mac.

Not available on a Mac, ever.
