Problem with open type features of some unicode characters
Hi
I have been working on developing a font for the Bravanese (Chimwiini) language. This font will consist of Latin and Arabic characters. I have noticed that some of the Arabic characters are not fully understood by Adobe applications such as Adobe Illustrator and so it's open type features do not work as they should. These problematic characters also exist in the Times New Roman font but again their open type features don't work on Adobe Illustrator. The characters are:
ࢶ ࢷ ࢸ ࢹ ࢺ
Is their any action that could be taken to ensure that these character's open type features are recognised? I would greatly appreciate any assistance that you could provide.
