Programs can not find fonts

Mother board failed. Had to get new machine with Windows 10. Adobe programs transferred and are working.

Adobe Type manager deluxe does not work with Win10. Is there a substitute or new release?

I have a lot of Adobe fonts in a "Font" folder that Creative Suite 6 can not seem to find. They are on the Computer they just do not appear in the programs.

Most of these are old fonts on 3.5" disks. How can I get these on to the computer without installing a 3.5" drive?

    The Adobe Type Manager program was discontinued many years ago. It somewhat worked on Windows XP, but not on any subsequent version of Windows and certainly not on any 64-bit version of Windows.

    No, Adobe did not create a substitute for ATM. There are numerous third party font managers available on the market that you can look up and see online reviews for. If you don't need a font manager, you can simply install OpenType and TrueType fonts by right clicking the .otf or .ttf file and selecting install. For old Type 1 fonts, you right click on the .pfm file and select install.

    Exactly what “font folder” are you referring to in terms of a location that you think CS6 applications will look for fonts in? The safest location for fonts to be installed is the \Windows\Fonts directory.

    Obviously, if you have fonts stored only on 3.5" diskettes, unless you get such a drive, there is no way to readily retrieve such fonts. You probably can find a USB plug-in 3.5" diskette drive that would assist if that is the only place you've stored such data.
