reinstall a font after computer crashed

I am trying to reinstall a font after my computer crashed.  I have the serial number.  I spent 45 minutes on the phone yesterday trying to do this, only to be told that the person didn't know how.  I also waited on chat for an hour yesterday.  Please help!

    Solution is very simple. Retrieve the font file from your most recent backup!

    You do backup your systems, don't you?
