Restrictions Using Typekit Fonts In Website and Video?

Hello,

A company I am working for wants to use the some of the fonts we have from our Creative Cloud subscription (typekit) in our commercial videos that are in our product and potentially on our commercial website. Here are my questions:

1) Is there a different license we need to get to use the fonts in our videos?

2) Is there a different license we need to get to embed the fonts into our website?

3) If we discontinue our subscription later on after using the fonts in our videos and exporting them as a video file (ie: .mov, etc...), are we still allowed to keep using those videos commercially in our product even though they contain elements of the fonts from the discontinued CC subscription?

4) I don't know the restrictions of use of these fonts available in typekit. Does anyone know what they are?

Thanks!

Hi Danielle,

I would take a look at this document: http://help.typekit.com/customer/portal/articles/1341590

Basically, you'll want to use fonts available for sync for video/images/print. You'll want to use fonts available for web to server to your websites. Some fonts are available for both.

I hope that clears things up. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Cheers,

Benjamin

This can be best answered by the concerned team of Typekit , moving the discussion over there .
