Question

snippet switches fonts when used to a T1

I have a snippet to put the page number on a document. When I make it, I use the proper new fonts, but when I import it to a document which we reuse regularly, it defaults to a T1 version of the same font. A character style is applied in the original document to create the snippet, but that character style itself is switched to the old font when applied to the new document. How do I stop this behavior?

Indesign 19.3 both to create the snippet and import it.

@Arumugaswami, okay, your question might be more suitable for the InDesign forum (create a new post here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/forums/postpage/board-id/indesign).

Meanwhile, did you write the snippet yourself, or did you get the code from Adobe or a third party? Do you have a paragraph style set up for your page numbers that include the correct font that the snippet references? Do you have both Type 1 and True Type or Open Type versions of that same font on your system? Did you try removing the Type 1 font altogether to see if that makes a difference?

Hi @Arumugaswami, I'm sorry you don't have any replies yet. If you are still having the problem, can you tell us what Adobe software (or other) you are using to write the snippet and what type of document format you are importing it to? Just a bit more information or screenshots would be helpful.
