Question

typekit fonts in Muse

I understand tat Typekit fonts should be available in Muse. But when I choose 'text / webfonts / add webfonts' in Muse I can't find a specific font (that is FF Netto web) in the interface that pops up. It is available on the Typekit site however...

Anyone knows why this happens?

Thank you!

Hi Peter,

Sorry for the confusion here. Currently, you can only use and preview the free and open-source Typekit fonts in Muse. However, we certainly see the value in being able to design in Muse with all fonts available in your Typekit library.

I'll share your request with the team. If you have any further requests or questions, feel free to drop us a line at: support@typekit.com.

Cheers,

Benjamin

Hi Benjamin,

Strange, I don't understand. On the typekit website I read:

'As part of a paid Creative Cloud subscription, you’ll receive a Typekit Portfolio plan with access to our full library of web fonts.'

That is a a harsh contrast with your statement above, isn't it?

Perhaps I understand this wrong....

Cheers, Peter

Hi Peter

You do have access to Typekit and it's full library of fonts via your Creative Cloud subscription. You can also use these fonts in any of your websites.

However, at this time, Typekit requires the use of CSS in order to implement it. Muse is an app that helps you design websites, with little or no coding. The application is doing this for you, in the background, as you design. So, in order to use Typekit fonts within Muse specifically, there needs to be an integration between the two.

I hope this helps clear things up. Let me know if you have any further questions. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Cheers,

Benjamin
