Question

Typekit generating 403 Error

I'm using Typekit with Dreamweaver CC 2017 on a site for the first time, with a standard embed link in the head

https://use.typekit.net/gan1tfv.css

Fonts seem to be downloading and rendering fine.  But Typekit keeps trying to access a second, mysterious file called p.typekit.net/p.css.  And browsers keeps saying "no" ...

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 ().

When I click on the link in Dreamweaver's top bar, all I see is this:

<html>

<head><title>403 Forbidden</title></head>

<body bgcolor="white">

<center><h1>403 Forbidden</h1></center>

<hr><center>nginx</center>

</body>

</html>

Does anyone know what p.css is?  Is there any reason to be concerned?

    Hi Frank,

    I'm sorry you ran into trouble here. Usually, a 403 error happens when the domain of the site isn't listed in the kit that is serving the fonts.

    The "p.css" file is used to ping our servers to show the fonts that have loaded. If the fonts are working, this should work as well.

    Do you have the URL for the site you're working on? I'd be happy to take a look and see what's going on.

    Cheers,

    Benjamin
