What happened to Univers?

Recently upgraded to Leopard (Mac) and Univers doesn't appear to be supported. I have hundreds of client documents designed in Univers. Any solutions?

Univers has never been bundled with OS X. You don't say what font format your Univers fonts were in, or what OS you were upgrading from, but unless you had something really incredibly odd, the fonts should still be supported in Leopard. Are the fonts installed in a system fonts folder?

I upgraded from Tiger 10.4.11. The Univers fonts were Adobe Type 1 fonts that I've been using on my Mac for many years with absolutely no problem. I have two internal hard drives on my PPC G5 . . . one 500 Gb with 10.4.11, the other a 500 Gb running 10.5.8. I also have an intel MBPro running Snow Leopard. When I transferred everything from the 10.4.11 HD to the new HD, I then upgraded it to 10.5.8. No Univers. Then I copied all the Univers fonts (ScreenFonts, plus PS Type 1 outlines) from the 10.4.11 HD to a flash drive and copied them to the 10.5.8 drive. Using Font Book, I tried to install them, and I couldn't do it. The outlines are "greyed" and when I call up the screen font (188Kb) nothing happens. There's another file Univers (supposedly a suitcase that's only 4Kb) that I try to install, but I'm given a warning that it may be damaged. Fonts are not in a system folder.

Problem seems to be solved. I restarted the 10.5.8 HD in Safe Mode and cleared my font cache. All seems to be working now.
