Hi,

I am curious to know if and when it is necessary to expand text?  Does text need to be expanded before saving the file in PDF format?

    I just have one last question regarding this topic.

    How do I apply an effect, such as radial gradient to text that has not been expanded?  I tried creating a new layer, etc., but nothing happened.

    Also, if I want to merge two words and make them appear with the same effect, I tried to merge the two words before applying the effect and voila, but there was no need to apply a second layer.  Why is that?  I am a bit confused.
