Where to find PostScript font files for Times-Roman

Hi all,

As the title indicates, I'd like to download the PostScript font files for the Times-Roman, Times-Italic, Times-Bold and Times-BoldItalic fonts for use on my Macbook (10.14.6) in creating PDFs. I have searched online for the fonts, but the only results I got were for the TrueType format, not PostScript.

Any ideas on where to find these in PostScript would be much appreciated!

My apologies if this is posted in the wrong place, I'm new to the community.

Strictly speaking, TrueType fonts are also “PostScript fonts” although that term is frequently misused to represent Adobe Type 1 fonts that were originally the only fonts supported by PostScript. PostScript has supported TrueType fonts as Type 42 fonts for over a quarter of a century now!

The Times family of fonts from Linotype are not “free” fonts that can be freely downloaded. You must license them for a fee. Anyone offering a free download of any Times fonts is doing so illegally.

If you need host-computer based versions of these fonts either for Windows or MacOS (different file formats for the two operating systems), you might check at fonts.com.
