Why was Caslon chosen for the Adobe Pro series but not Baskerville?

I'm a student, researching the history of William Caslon and John Baskerville and this question of "Why was Caslon chosen for the Adobe Pro series but not Baskerville?" had popped into our minds. It would be great to know so I could inform the rest of my class.
