I just downloaded flash player 11.3.  Adobe also recognizes it on my Windows vista 64/32 bit computer.  But I can't find the file to open the software.  Please help.  I am also running Windows Media Player which I think might be the problem.  But I don't know how to fix it.

As Pat noted, Flash Player is a "plug-in" or "helper program."  It runs automatically in the background whenever you click on a YouTube video, or other web-based application that uses Adobe Flash.

If you mean, how to you ACCESS the Flash Player program to change the settings --

Go to this page -- http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager02.html

The box you see, if your Flash Player is working correctly, is NOT an image, it's the actual settings manager.  You click on the various tabs and buttons to change settings pertaining to privacy, storage, etc.

In addition, you can right-click on the box, itself, (or any flash image) to call up a drop-down menu.  Scroll down and click on "settings..." and you can select or de-select "hardware acceleration," etc.  Scroll down farther, and click on "Global settings..." and you can change even more.    (You can also access the Global Settings by clicking on Flash Player in your WIndows Control Panel.)

Thank you.  I was able to change settings at the website you gave me.  However, I do not have Flash Player in my windows control panel.  I am running Windows Vista 64/32 bit.  So how do I get it in my control panel?

If you open Contol Panel (using the Start button) -- http://windows.microsoft.com/en-IN/windows-vista/Working-with-the-Control-Panel -- you should see a jump for "Systems and Security" or similar.  Click on that, and on the next page that opens up, "Flash Player" should be listed.  If not, they probably hid it somewhere else, under one of the other links.

The easiest way to open it, though,  is to go to the site I mentioned above, and right click on the Global Privacy Settings Panel box.  You should see a drop down menu.  Scroll down to "Global Settings," and left click on that to open it.  A new window will open up, which is the same one found in the Control Panel.

    Hope this made sense.

Sorry, I perfectly do not understand what you mean, or what you are asking.

Flash Player is a browser add-on, and not an executable software (unless you mean the "Projector" standalone player).

Can you see the Flash animation at http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html ?  If so, Flash Player is correctly installed and working.  You can see your installed Flash Player version at 2. on the same page.
