flash unable to import mx.graphics.codec

Hi

I am having a wied issue with flash flash is unable to import

mx.graphics.codec

error  1172 a definition could not be found

do I have to download this codec from some place, it seem to me that they must be here

here's the pngencoder class (which, i think, is currently the only class in that package):  http://svn.stefanix.net/filedetails.php?repname=actionscript&path=/flex/frameworks/projects/framework/src/mx/graphics/codec/PNGEncoder.as&rev=42
