New Here ,
Jan 18, 2007 Jan 18, 2007
Hey guys,

Does anyone happen to know what the french equivalent of the "NOT operator is?

I know "AND" is "ET" and the "OR" is "OU" but I can't figure out what the "NOT" is.

I would appreciate it if anyone can help.

Thanks,
Ivo

From France ...

NON : NOT
ET PAS : AND NOT

In french, we use "ET PAS" in current language !

AND : ET
OR : OU
AND NOT : ET PAS
OR NOT : OU PAS

Good luck !
Benoit

Bonjour, Benoit,
Ivobg is apparently looking for the translation in operator logic, not in everyday language. Could you confirm that

NOT p, p OR NOT p, p AND NOT q

are then, respectively,

NON p, p OU NON p, p ET NON q
