Flash on my Surface RT

I have a brand new surface RT and am trying to open an e-text book.  it's telling me that I need an updated version of Flash, however, I try to click the link to get it and it's not working.  It just takes me to a Flash problem solving page which I've checked and nothing applies.

I was under the impression that that model of Microsoft Surface does not support Plug-Ins.  You will have to use a Microsoft Surface Pro.

To update Flash Player on Windows 8 you need to run Windows Update.
