How to check Flash Player version in Firefox

I am trying to check my version of Flash Player for Firefox, but the check now button just stays gray and doesn't do anything. I have installed the latest version of Flash Player added adobe.com to my Flashblock white list and disabled Adblock and it still doesn't check. I do see the clouds moving and the picture at the bottom of the page, so Flash is working. It works in all other browsers, but Firefox.  Shockwave Flashplayer is also set to always active.
