Issues installing Flash for Firefox on Ubuntu 18.04
Since the official support isn't helpful, I was directed to come here.
I'm having difficulties installing Flash for Firefox on Ubuntu 18.04 for a few reasons;
- There is no add-ons/plug-ins directory that I can find for Firefox, presumably because most NPAPI plug-ins were deprecated recently.
- Firefox itself won't recognize the .SO file as an add-on file, claims it's "corrupt".
- Using the APT URL that is suggested doesn't work-- Ubuntu Software claims it doesn't know how to handle apt://, and AptURL says "The channel 'bionic-partner' is not known".
This, of course, leaves me Flash-less and confused. The official Adobe support only lead me through the basic "go to the website that tells you to install Flash and enable it" page, then gave up and directed me here. How, exactly, am I supposed to install Flash on my system?
