F4V Support on Adobe Flash Media Server 3.02

We have the Flash Media Server 3.02 running on a Windows 2003 Server and we updated the mime types as suggested in Adobe's technical papers to take care of the Windows bug. However, we can not get the system to stream the F4V files we encoded with the Adobe Media Encoder CS4. We used a preset that came with the CS4 software F4V same as original and used the H.264 codec in the options. When we take the same source file and encode it as a FLV it plays fine. When we switch the extension to F4V it will not play. PLEASE HELP.. I am getting conflicting information from every support rep at Adobe. Thank you very much. JohnD@HDonlineCinema.com

The play command for the "FLV" format is different from the f4v format.

For the FLV format It looks like:
"rtmp://yourServerName/yourAppName/yourFlvName"

For the f4v and mp4 format it looks like:
for f4v/mp4 try using "rtmp://yourServerName/yourAppName/ mp4:yourCS4endocedF4vFile.f4v"

Having the same problem here. I am trying to simply play the f4v file before attempting to stream it live. When selecting the source in the FLVplayback component, I have the file on the D drive.. So, D:/video.f4v... I then add the prefix d:/mp4:video.f4v.. and the only difference is that I dont get the error list anymore, just a blank window with the endless buffering bar.. I can switch the source in the flvplayback to an .flv file, and presto instant video... I see people all over the net with this same problem, and the only solutions seem to be simply to add the prefix, but that doesnt work. Any other ideas? Im new to flash programming, I may need some alphabetical tips if there are any available.. Thanks /Chris
