hello
i do not own a double-sided printer, but i want to print 2 pages per sheet. i will manually turn the papers.
if i use the printer mask i should key all couples of page.
so i would to substitute all odd pages for example with white ones, and the same for even.
i would have 2 pdf to print.
how can i do this?

Hi ,
Double sided printing is done if your printer supports this functionality.
Please check this document.
Print double-sided | Adobe Acrobat, Reader https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/print-double-sided-acrobat-reader.html

Before printing you can create a PDF file with 2 pages per sheet.

Use as printer "Adobe PDF". In the print dialog change the settings behind the button "Multiple".

You can no longer do this on latest Mac versions (& don't get me started how angry this makes me...)

Yes, but you can do that during physical printing of your PDF file by printing first the odd and then the even pages...

That's not what we're addressing.. we're addressing printing out two pages per sheet, say. Or four.
And sometimes, we don't want a physical copy, which is why this is so frustrating. For instance, I want to view a script on a tablet two pages at a time in landscape mode. Can't do it.

You can use following plugin for Adobe Acrobat:

So a few hundred or thousand dollars to get a plugin that restores functionality previously available in older versions of Mac OS and Adobe software. Does that seem right to you? (Other people in this forum have commented on this BTW)

This is OK for me.

When was that removed from MacOS? (Please not: I'm a Windows user and with Windows, the PDF Acrobat printer is still available).

I don't know what version of the MacOS took it away but at some point that PDF Acrobat printer (the "virtual printer" perhaps it's called?) was taken away. This discussion has more of a history: Print-to-pdf multiple pages per sheet

virtual=not physical. It’s only a program. And I’m right. It’s not Adobes fault, but Apples. Apple users should blame Apple, not Adobe. The virtual printer is a great invention, because any application can create PDF (or other documents) simply by printing.

Reviving an old thread here, but there is an easier way to do this on a Mac than needing to manually mask pages, it just involves ripping the PDF into a printer ready format before sending to actually print. Try the steps below.
1 - Right click and open the PDF in an app other than Acrobat (eg Safari).
2 - Go to File > Print
3 - Underneath the Page Orientation, select the Layout option from the dropdown
4 - Set the Pages Per sheet to '2', and the Layout direction to Horizontal
5 - Click the PDF dropdown in the lower left corner, and save the document to a new PDF file.
6 - Open the newly created PDF in Acrobat
7 - Each sheet should now contain 2 pages of the original document, and can be printed normally. If your printer does not have a duples funciton, print the odd pages in the stack, then rotate the paper and re-print for even.
