2 pages/sheet with increasing page height truncates 2nd. page

The attached PDF is a concatenation (using pdftk Server) of 2 single-page PDFs. The second one has a greater page height than the first. No problems printing on one page per sheet or if the page order is reversed.

With 2 or 3 pages per sheet, the print preview is correct. But the printed output (on a Canon TS5151) has the second page correctly positioned but truncated at the top so that it has the same height as the first page (see attached scan). Same issue whether using Acrobat Reader [32-bit] or Adobe Acrobat [64-bit].

Could someone please test on a non-Canon printer?

Is this an Acrobat issue (in which case how do I report it?)?

If it’s a print software issue, I’ll have to contact Canon.

It works for me.* What happens when you set “Shrink” or “Fit”?

You could, by the way, try to print to a virtual printer if you have installed one!

*I just did not test correctly.

Shrink or Fit does not change much since the pages are under A4 size.

Printing to XPS and viewing the result still has the second page truncated (loosing most of the QR code).

Fit will change something. Anyhow, did you try it out?

I've played a bit around with your asset, I had now 5 Minutes to do that:

My conclusion is that the PDF file was created in an odd way.

Nb: print as image is a very convenient test to take, as here Acrobat does the ripping and Acrobat sends an image to the printer.

I see no evidence that the PDF is ‘odd’, other than containing pages with different sizes. I used pdftypewriter to append one ticket to the other; the printed result is the same.

I have found a workaround for the issue. pdftk has a ‘stamp’ function which will overlay a ticket onto a blank ticket of maximum (A4) height. Stamping the first ticket on each page leads to a correct print (without Print as Image).

So we have an issue occurring close to the interface between Acrobat and common(?) printer software (at least Canon and XPS) at page level. Should that be reported to Adobe in the first instance?

I'm using Acrobat to get the multi-page per sheet functionality. It would be great if the print settings could be specified on a command line (like the former /A argument) without changing the user's print settings.
