A PowerPoint saved as a PDF is missing content in Acrobat DC

I can send you the file. It will probably look fine to you, but on my system half the page is missing. The content is not there in the contents panel either. I've had other people open it and they see it just fine. Outside of going through my friends preferences one by one to compare our systems, I'm left in inexplicable why mode. I didn't create the PPT. And I can't get the original. When I export the PDF of it back to PPT to see if I can reproduce a good PDF, I get the same problem...content missing in the PDF. Perhaps you can help me. Thanks.

Correct answer Mally

I found the problem through hit and miss unchecking things int he Preferences.

In Acrobat PREFERENCES, CATEGORIES, ACCESSIBILITY: (X) Replace Colors Options was checkmarked. It included "Replace Document Colors," and some other ticks. I don't know why or how I ever made that choice.

To Fix it, all I did was uncheck Replace colors Options. Viola! I can now see content in several files that previously I could not.

Hi Stargazers

We are sorry for the trouble. As described the content is missing from the PDF after creation

Would you mind sharing the version of the Adobe Acrobat DC installed? To check the version of the application please use the help article https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/identify-product-version.html

Make sure you have the latest version 19.21.20061 installed. Go to Help > Check for Updates

What is the workflow or steps you are doing to create the PDF? there are multiple ways of creating a PDF from MS Office, try creating the PDF as described in the help article (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/acrobat/how-to/create-pdf-files-word-excel-website.html) and check for the issue.

Also, is this a behavior with a particular file or with all the files that you try to create a PDF from? Try creating the PDF using a different PPT file and check. If its a file specific issue please share the PPT and the PDF files with us for testing. Please upload the files to the document cloud (https://documentcloud.adobe.com/link/home/) generate the link and share the link with us.

Regards

Amal
