Accessibe PDF from

Hi there,

I am trying to make accessible pdf-forms by tagging all the form-objects. Sometimes the tagging works well (the form-field shows up correytly at the bottom of the tag-tree). But other times a form-field shows up at the bottom of the list but has no OBJR (if that makes sense?). So tagging the form-fields is not always possible.

In other words: I cannot open the form-field (there is no little arrow next to it).

Thank you for your help!

Not quite correct.

The <Form> tag (aka, field) with it's nested sub-tag (xxx-OBJR).

Think of it this way: Each form field should be inside a <P> with the visible label (like First Name, etc.) the <Form> tag, and it's sub-tag, xxx-OBJR. Note the nesting in the screen capture above.

If you're missing an OBJR (called an annotation), then you must search for them and tag them.

A colleague at Adobe did a great series on accessible forms at https://adobe.lookbookhq.com/acrobataccessibility/accessible-pdf-forms
