Hello!

I hope you are doing well. Thanks for reaching out. We're sorry for the trouble you had with the activation.

Please make sure you're using the official Acrobat 2020 Pro installer that matches your serial number: Download Acrobat 2020 from the official website: https://adobe.ly/4iZh4Si

Ensure Clean Installation

After installation:

  • Launch Acrobat

  • Enter your serial number when prompted
(Ensure it’s a 24-digit serial number for Acrobat 2020 and not a redemption code.)

You may also try the suggestions from the following articles: https://adobe.ly/3ZccCZa

Hello @Hawksy_Jacob5921

I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out. I am sorry for the trouble you had with the app's installation.

Please reboot the machine once and check for any pending operating system updates. Then, please install all the mandatory and optional updates and restart the machine. Then, change the network connection type, like switching to a LAN connection, a Wifi connection, or vice versa.

Use Adobe’s Cleaner Tool to remove remnants of failed installations and restart the machine. For testing purposes, please disable the security software/antivirus if installed during the installation process of Acrobat.

Use the direct link to download and install Acrobat.

Acrobat 2020 URL, Acrobat Pro Subscription URL. Download the setup as per your license/subscription. Once the setup is downloaded, right-click and select Run as an Administrator (Windows only).

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

That sounds frustrating. I've seen similar issues come up when transferring older Adobe licenses to new machines. You might want to check if the license is still active under your Adobe account or contact Adobe support to deactivate it on the old computer. Also, a quick guide is shared on handling common software reinstallation problems  . Hope it helps.

I have the same problem. I bought a new iMac and I installed acrobat 2020. I inserted my registration number and the following what happened I posted today here in German. I hope you can help me because I am basically without any answer how I can solve the Problem:
