Acrobat 9 Pro - Deactivate is greyed out

New Here ,
Apr 13, 2017 Apr 13, 2017

I'm trying to activate Acrobat 9 Pro on a new computer and cannot do this because the license is currently activated on the old computer.

I am trying to deactivate by going to Help -> Deactivate, but that option is greyed out.

I have tried to start it as Administrator, I have tried waiting for several minutes to see if deactivation becomes available.

I have checked for updates and updated to a newer version and rebooted the computer.

I ran the update check again and it said I had the latest version.

I tried to Start Acrobated Reader as Administrator again and wait for several minutes, but I still cannot deactivate.

The computer is running Windows 7 Pro 32-bit.

The Acrobat version is 9.5.5 Pro

Is it possible to just reset the activation for the serial number?

Hi janj75558114,

Please try once to uninstall and re-install Adobe Acrobat on your old computer.

Then check if you get the clickable deactivate option under Help.

Let us know if this helps.

Regards,

Meenakshi
