Acrobat and Signatures: "This image file is corrupt"

Hi all. I'm trying to sign a document on behalf of a colleague. When I upload their signature via "FILL AND SIGN YOURSELF" as a .jpg or .png I get "This image file is corrupt" in a red box. In attempting to do this I've now removed my own signature, and when I re-up that file, I get the same message. So it is clearly not the image files. Tried rebooting the computer (MacBook Pro) and I have also tried moving the files to my desktop... no dice. What is going on here please?!

Hi alistairg39330077,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry about the trouble caused.

As mentioned, you get the error when using the image option to add a signature. Please let us know if the error appears even when you try to use a different image file than the one you are trying to add. If you have not already checked, please check and confirm. If the new image is added without any issues, that means there is an issue with the previous image file.

Please share a screenshot of the error message you received. Also, let us know if you use the Acrobat desktop application to add the signature or Acrobat Sign.

Let us know if you need any help.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Hi Meenakshi, thanks for your response. The screen shot is shared above, and yes I have tried different images in different file formats, from differing hard drive locations!

Having exact same problem since MAC updated OS ... all my e-sigs say corrupt but am able to open in other applications so they are not corrupt.  Just won't upload on Adobe so I can insert into docs ... everything was working fine before the OS update.  Have rebooted, have reinstalled Adobe - nothing happening!  We use this feature A LOT - I need to fix pls!
