I have wasted hours of work because Acrobat DC is automatically password protecting forms and then I cannot unlock them. Even if I apply a password, the program is applying a password over my password and I can't unlock the document. I tested a form yesterday and applied a password. I saved it, closed, and re-opened and unlocked with the password that I applied. Today, I opened the same test document and the password no longer works as Acrobat has applied (I made the password simple and wrote it down for the test). Hours of work wasted and this is with any form that I open. I've called Adobe "Support" multiple times, wait on hold, and get disconnected seconds after someone answers. I would post this to their support team, but Adobe does not provide an email for support- I have to call.

Hi Tiffany,
Sorry to hear about your unpleasant experience.
Adobe Acrobat doesn't setup a password automatically, unless its not done by the user. This is quite surprising to know that you are experiencing such issue.
To understand it better, please confirm the following details:
Understand the difference between, Document Open password and Permission Password here: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/acrobat/using/securing-pdfs-passwords.html
Thanks,
Akanchha

I can open the documents and would be able to fill in the form, but I can not edit the documents even if though I was the creator. The Security Settings indicates "This document has and open password or a modify password." I only seem to have this issue when utlizing my Macbook Pro". On the document I tested, I purposfully did apply a password via "Document Properties" "Security" "Security Method" and selecting "Password Security". I was able to go back in that day and utilize the password to chang the security settings. The next day, I tried the same and my password didn't work. Any form I attempt to create, I make sure that the settings are at Security Method: No Security, yet when I save, close, and then open, the form suddenly is password protected and I can't edit it.
