Acrobat DC Pro says it updates to but it doesn't. Always stays at 15.009.20071. I try to update manually and it states:
The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the windows installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be upgraded exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade patch.
Any help would be appreciated.

This might be the same problem reported here - Adobe Reader 2017.009.20058.37826 Not downloading latest update
Is this system managed by your organization?
If Acrobat was deployed using Admin Install Point patched by 15.009.20071 patch, you do not have proper target for the future patches.
They all expect base Acrobat version.
There are to ways to fix it.
1. Uninstall what you have, install base version, let it update to the latest automatically or update manually yourself.
2. Report to your Admin\IT, they should know how to deploy latest version.

when you say update manually do you mean you downloaded a patch? If so, exactly which one?
Also you say it won’t upgrade beyond ....069... Then say it says at ...071... what do you mean ?

I manually download the next patch (in this case 15.009.20077) and try to apply only for it to tell me about not having the program installed (in original question). My mistake on the version number in my title. Thanks
