Acrobat doesn't open all pdf files

When I click on a pdf file from file explorer (recently upgraded to Windows 11 and default browser is chrome)  Adobe Acrobat doesnt open every pdf file.  Some it does.  I have attached an example of a real file it wont open and added a screenshot of what i see if I try and open that file in explorer.

 

I can open it in other applications.

Acrobat Reader can't open jpg files. First create a PDF file from the jpg file then open the PDF file.

Oh god.  I cant believe Ive been so stupid.

Although somehow possibly in my W10 to W11 conversion adobe acrobat has become the default app for opening .JPG files.

I'll change that.  Thank you so much for the prompt response.
