Acrobat Pro DC Continuous Release Version 2020.012.20043 - crashes "connecting" progress bar any MP4

Unable to insert tiny MP4 in a PDF on Windows 10.  Have tried all combinations of Multimedia Trust & Legacy preferences and advanced settings for multimedia object but always the same - Acrobat decides it is "Connecting" for about 2 seconds then it crashes.
